Find Calm, Clarity, and Joy When Life Feels Heavy

Many people struggle with stress, loss, life transitions, or feeling stuck in their own thoughts.

This small-group online course explores personal development and healing through creativity using songwriting as a framework to inspire insight through creative writing exercises that help you process emotions, build mindfulness skills, and rediscover your creative voice.

You don’t need any experience with mindfulness, writing or music. You only need curiosity and a willingness to try the process.

Through guided exercises, reflection, and weekly accountability, you’ll learn a repeatable creative practice that supports emotional well-being, clarity, and personal growth.

Limited to 5 participants to keep the experience supportive and interactive.

Healing Through Creativity: How Creative Expression Supports Emotional Well-Being

Creative expression has long been recognized as a powerful tool for emotional health. Practices like writing, music, storytelling, and visual art allow people to process experiences, explore thoughts, and make meaning from life’s challenges.

Research in creative arts therapy and expressive writing suggests that creative practices can help:

  • Regulate emotions
  • Reduce stress and rumination
  • Build self-awareness
  • Support resilience during life transitions
  • Increase self-compassion and gratitude

In this course, creativity is not treated as a talent reserved for artists. Instead, it becomes a practical tool for healing, reflection, and personal growth that anyone can learn.

What You’ll Gain From This Healing Through Creativity Course

By the end of the program, participants typically leave with:

  • A repeatable creative process you can use to regulate emotions and reduce stress
  • Practical tools for self-compassion, mindfulness, and emotional awareness
  • A creative way to connect with others, and communicate compassionately
  • A new way to understand and influence your inner narrative and mindset
  • Draft writing, lyrics, journaling pieces, or creative ideas you can continue developing
  • Greater confidence in your creative voice and ability to express yourself
  • Momentum from weekly structure and guided accountability

Most importantly, you will learn how creativity can become a lifelong resource for reflection, resilience, and clarity.

The Creative Framework Behind the Course

At InVibe, creativity is more than expression — it’s a structured process for growth and healing. This course is guided by two simple frameworks: M.U.S.I.C. and A.R.T.

The M.U.S.I.C. framework helps participants move from mindset and unfolding free expression into intentional structure, integration, and celebration, turning creative exercises into meaningful insight and personal growth.

The A.R.T. framework focuses on emotional healing. It helps participants accept reality, reconcile difficult or conflicting emotions, and transform experiences into new understanding and perspective.

Together, these frameworks create a supportive path for using creativity as a practical tool for reflection, resilience, and emotional well-being.

What Happens During Each Creative Healing Session

Each session blends structure with flexibility.

Expect a mix of:

  • Education about mindset, creativity, and emotional awareness
  • Guided writing prompts and creative exercises
  • Simple songwriting frameworks (no music background required)
  • Reflection and discussion focused on mindfulness and self-compassion
  • Optional sharing, feedback, and revision guidance
  • A take-home creative practice to continue between sessions

Many participants discover that the challenges we face during creativity — self-criticism, hesitation, uncertainty — often mirror challenges we experience in daily life. Learning to move through those moments creatively can provide powerful insight and growth.

What Others Say About the InVibe Experience

“I highly recommend InVibe Creative Arts Therapy with Eric Lebowitz. I took an online creative writing course where I met weekly with Eric for 8 or 9 weeks and song creation was our main subject. Eric is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of creative writing and is a wonderful teacher with patience and kindness and just a pleasure to work with. You will learn a lot!”

—GL

“Working with Eric has been an opportunity to expand and unlock my own creative abilities. at his urging, I have enjoyed my experience connecting to my innate and driven ability to be creative and develop lyrics. I pride myself on being a teacher who empowers my students to develop their talents in a non-judgmental yet professionally critical and encouraging atmosphere. To say the least, Eric does the same when collaborating with me. We plan to continue to work together for the foreseeable future.”

—DG

“I highly recommend Eric’s services, process, and knowledge for not only instruction in songwriting, but also using the process of songwriting to develop mental health practices and attitudes.  He is at once funny and serious, but also creative and thoughtful. I have discovered new sources of creativity within myself and have made some adjustments, not only to my daily routine and practices, but to my attitude towards self-compassion and gratitude towards others.”

Why This Course Is Different

Many creative classes focus on performance or technical skill.

This course focuses on healing through creativity — using writing and songwriting as tools for reflection, emotional awareness, and personal growth.

The program is led by Eric Lebowitz, a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) with more than a decade of experience helping individuals use music and creativity to navigate life transitions, grief, stress, and personal transformation.

Rather than focusing on producing perfect songs or polished writing, the course focuses on helping participants develop a creative practice that supports emotional well-being and meaningful self-expression.

Should we emphasize the MUSIC & ART framework as a differentiator here?

Online Course FAQs About Healing Through Creativity

Do I need musical experience or songwriting skills to participate?

No. This course is designed to be accessible for people with any to no background in music, mindfulness, and/or creativity. The focus is not on producing professional works of art, but on learning how the creative process can support mindset, expression, growth, and personal insight. The exercises are simple, guided, and adaptable to your comfort level.

What exactly will we be doing during the sessions?

Each session follows InVibe’s M.U.S.I.C. Method™, a process that guides each session’s experience. From Mindset, to Celebrate, you will engage in 6 different experiential mindfulness and creativity based exercises aimed at providing you with tools for personal growth.

Do I have to sing or perform in the group?

No. Singing or performing is never required. Participants can share writing, ideas, or reflections if they wish, but sharing is always optional. Many participants start by simply writing privately and gradually share more as they become comfortable.

How many people will be in the group?

The group size will be kept intentionally small so the experience stays supportive and interactive. Smaller groups allow participants to ask questions, receive feedback, and engage with the creative exercises more meaningfully.

What if I miss a session?

Consistency is important because the sessions build on each other. If you must miss a session, you will still receive the writing prompts and exercises used during the meeting so you can stay engaged with the process. However, the most value comes from participating live with the group.

What kinds of outcomes should I expect from the program?

Participants often report improvements in creative confidence, self-compassion, insight, and personal growth. Many also develop a repeatable creative practice they can return to. You may also leave with lyrics, written reflections, or song ideas that capture your experience.
